Booking terms and conditions
When you make a booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions below.
Prices: The price includes accommodation plus any board indicated. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional meals, telephone, drinks etc are at additional cost. We accept the following forms of payment: cash or card payment (debit and credit cards - excluding American Express).
Cancellation and Insurance: Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract. We understand that plans can change, sometimes for reasons beyond your control. However, as a small business you can appreciate that it can be difficult for us to re let rooms at short notice.
If you cancel a booking more than 28 days before arrival we will offer a full refund of any deposit, minus a £5 card processing admin fee. For cancellations made between 28 days and 7 days prior to your booking, you will be liable for the cost of the first night’s accommodation, unless we can manage to re let the room(s). For cancellations within 7 days of the booking date, or for non-arrivals, you will be liable for the total cost of the stay and we reserve the right to charge any monies due to the card used to secure your booking. For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
Smoking: The Grange is a non smoking establishment and it is against the law to smoke in any form on these premises. If it is believed that smoking has occurred in your room we reserve the right to charge £100 for airing and cleaning the room.
Non-availability: We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control, which may include natural causes such as illness, loss of power or water, fire or explosion or if the business ceased trading. In such events we would refund all monies paid by you to date. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival: Your accommodation will normally be available to you from 16:00 hrs on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 18:00 hrs.
Departure: Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10:00 hrs on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.
Damages and Breakages: Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or your possessions.
Data: Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
