The Grange Guest House is on the High street, a few minutes walk from the village centre. There is some parking to the front of the property, although you are encouraged to use our car park at the rear, which is accessed off South Lane. Please note that spaces are on a first come first serve basis.
By Road
Thornton-le-Dale is just over two miles East of Pickering on the main A170 towards Scarborough.
Travelling from the South, follow signs to York, then take the A64 towards Malton / Scarborough, then follow signs to Pickering / Whitby on the A169. After approximately 4 miles, Thornton-le-Dale is signposted to the right from this road.
When travelling from the North, follow signs from Thirsk along the A170 to Pickering, travel through Pickering and on to Thornton-le-Dale. From the North East follow signs to Thirsk or enjoy the coast road A171 down to Whitby, then follow signs to Pickering A169, then turn left turn onto the A170 towards Scarborough and Thornton-le-Dale.
The Grange is on the High Street (A170) about 500 metres from the village centre as you head towards Scarborough. To find the car park carry on past the house and take the first right into Hurrell Lane, then turn right into South Lane. The Grange Car Park is signed approximately 100m along South Lane on the right. There is a footpath that leads from the car park, through the gardens, to the reception at the rear of the house.
By Rail
The nearest rail station is at Malton, which is about a 15 minute drive from The Grange. A regular train service operates from York to Scarborough and all trains stop at Malton.
By Bus
There are scheduled bus services from Leeds, York and Malton (the 840 Coastliner) that pass through Thornton-le-Dale. In addition, the 128 bus from Helmsley to Scarborough stops in the village and near The Grange.
